Ghost Dance

Perhaps this will become my Halloween tradition: I first posted these photos last year, but I thought it would be a good idea to re-blog them this year along with the original text:

Happy Halloween!

My father sent me these two pictures of a tomato he just cut up for some traditional Maltese ħobz biż-żejt. He just couldn't resist saying Happy Halloween with this. So, a Happy Halloween to you too. Boo!

Now, go BOO!

OBLIGATORY DISCLAIMER: This post is not to be considered as an endorsement of Halloween, which is the second most commercial festivity after Christmas.

actually halloween is an ancient celtic ritual when the souls roamed the physical world. The druids used to dress as normal people and light fires in hollowed out turnips for protection against the dark forces.Apple bobbing originated from ordeal by water. The celtic halloween has been revived in Scotland and some wild festivities take place in the narrow Edinburgh streets. In most other places, I agree, it's complete bollocks

Just wanted to point out I'm having some problems accessing your blog. In bloglines your latest post is "Brass in pocket" but when I click on the link it says "page not found". When I go directly to your main blog page, it isn't there.

Thanks, Athena. I corrected a typo on my latest post last night and clicked "save as draft" instead of publish. Premature senile dementia, I bet! The lastest post should be visible now.
