  • This new band will be releasing their debut EP on 12 March 2016 at the Beachaven in Xemxija. Their style is quite deliciously raw and raucous, which is rather unusual for the local scene. I’ve heard a preview of the whole EP and I must say that I’m really looking forward to two things: (a) watching the band live, and (b) more new material from them.

This new rock trio from Malta will be releasing their debut EP on the 19th of February 2016 at Django’s in Valletta. I really like the sound of this first release. It has a raw sound that’s still rather clean. They’re indeed the sort of band I’d love to see live and I’m sure that eventually I’ll manage to do so. I’m also confident that they’ll get even better in time.

sfsdf Julian Grech, the keyboardist from Frenzy Mono and Noman Son has teamed up with his real-life partner Alexia Baldacchino to form a new symphonic rock duo. They made their debut this evening, just as I was recording this podcast and I’m fairly certain that they were quite well received by the people gathered at the Buskett Roadhouse for tonight’s Nomad Sun concert.

From time to time this series of podcasts features music by non-Maltese acts that involve Maltese musicians. Josie Charlwood’s EP Look Up, released on falls squarely in this category. This record features Matthew Vella on drums and I’m mighty glad that he brought this singer and her EP to my attention. I hope you’ll like it as much as I do.
