Earlier this year, Yasmin Kuymizakis released an EP entitled Selene as Yews. Although this Yews EP has now been available to download from Bandcamp or stream on Soundcloud for several months, it has escaped the MMI playlist. Well, this has now been rectified and I hope to play another track from it soon enough, especially if one those lovely Yews videos makes its way to YouTube over the coming weeks/months.
Cinnamon War – Brightest Light
Up and coming new band who have apparently been gigging on the local scene for a couple of years. Their debut release showed up in my inbox and it sounds like the sort of thing that will likely receive decent airplay in Malta too. This is one of those bands from whom I’ll look forward to hearing more over the coming months.
