FellowFishAvaltun Reggae
I’m not sure whether this is actually a FellowFish project or something that FellowFish members have been working on. It’s an African animals app for kids in 4 languages, featuring songs about various animals in different genres of music sung in English, Italian, Chinese, and Maltese. Apparently there another one with Ocean animals coming up later on this year.

Tenisha with Jonathon MendelsohnA New Dream
It’s always a pleasure to include a track by Tenisha on my podcast because they are one of the best Maltese dance music exports. This type of music is not exactly the sort of thing I listen to at home (who does?) but it’s certainly the sort of thing I’d want to hear if I have to (do I ever?) be at a dance club or party where this sort of music is played without any apology.

Two Tribes

Show notes for the 382nd Mużika Mod Ieħor podcast featuring music by performers from or in Malta:

Amelia HopePerplex City
I don’t know why I thought this song had a promotional video. I say it does on the podcast, but it obviously doesn’t…otherwise I would simply have linked to it here. In any case, I’m rather pleased to open this week’s podcast with something that bears Sam Hayman’s fingerprints. He produced, orchestrated, mixed and mastered this song. If the rest of Amelia’s upcoming EP sounds anything like this track, then I’ll really be looking out for it.

Davinia Pace
Collaborating once again with the mighty Muxu, Davinia returns with a song that benefits greatly from Carlo Gerada’s musical stylings. Although this is the radio edit of the song, I’d say that any version of this track is rather radio friendly. I’m seriously waiting for the day when Muxu strikes in big on the international scene beyond Junior Eurovision…that’s just a way for him to get noticed in the right places, I think.

Lucy’s LastJenna
New band’s debut song. Don’t really know much about them but the song sounds rather decent and I expect it’s not just a one off release. So, let’s see what happens next and hopefully something more will appear on their M3P entry in the meantime.

Lyndsay & LuLu – Letter 25
A little birdy told me that this is Lyndsay Pace’s collaboration with Jon Lukas Woodenman and LuLu Agius, but there was no press release along with this release and the planned promotional video is not out just. So, let’s see what happens next and if it’s not through the M3P perhaps the video will shed some more light on this collaboration.

Mutt LeyMean Summer
Originally released back in 2006 and featured in the 41st podcast in this series, this song has been released just in time ahead of summer 2014. Hopefully this time it will attract a little more attention than last time.
